The two main parts of the Mass are the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. During the Liturgy of the Word, readings from the Bible are proclaimed, and a homily is delivered to reflect on the readings. During the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the bread and wine are consecrated and transformed into the body and blood of Christ, which are then shared with the worshipers.
No. The Gospel the last reading of the Liturgy of the Word.
alleluia or halleuja
i do not know
during the liturgy of the word
the center of the liturgy of the word is the gospel.
During the liturgy of the word you need to be listening to the priest/bishop or deacon because during this part of the mass we learn of redemption and salvation through the proclamation of the scriptures.
It depends upon the Parish pastor, or the Bishop. It certainly would not interrupt the Liturgy of the Eucharist or the Liturgy of the Word, but rather come between the two, after the mass is done, or before anything starts. Note: Baptisms often times are not even celebrated in masses; they don't have to be. If you are referring to when during the Easter vigil mass the baptism takes place for RCIA candidates, I've been to many of these and it seems pretty clear this happens after the Liturgy of the Word and before the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
alleluia is not said or sung
It is when they present the candidates and catechists to the whole congregation. They are presented with their sponsors then blessed by the whole church. They are invited to stay for the Liturgy of the Word. Then given time to go reflect. They are also accepted by the church.
It is because it is the word of God.
Divine Liturgy. Sacred Liturgy.
