Confirmation is basically believing and trusting in GOD and trusting that he will make all things right. It grows your faith because it better makes you believe and show stronger faith in the teachings of god.
The above is right but comes after the conformation. Confirmation is when one is confirmed a member of a church and to have his or her name entered upon the records of that church. It is when you make certain covenants with the Lord to do all that you can to keep the commandments, obey His law and to do all you can for your fellow man.
I cant grow closer to God because I am already a part of It!
Each candidate has a sponsor in confirmation because the sponsor serves as a mentor and guide throughout the preparation process for the sacrament. The sponsor provides support, advice, and guidance as the candidate prepares to deepen their commitment to their faith. Additionally, the sponsor helps to ensure that the candidate is fully prepared to receive the sacrament and understands its significance.
Yes it does encourage our faith.
They give us strength to overcome adversity. Also, we grow in faith by receiving the sacraments as often as we can.
Faith is inside of a person. According to Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. This means that your faith will grow as you read the Word of God. God will guide you and teach you. He will help you to learn truth according to Him and separate it from things that others say and do that is not of God.
Studying the faith
1. Pray for your godchild regularly 2. Set an example of Christian living 3. Help him/her to grow in the faith of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in which he was baptized 4. Give every encouragement to follow Christ and fight against evil 5. Help your godchild to look forward to confirmation. You pretty much help your godchild in what he needs and show him the ways of religion.
