These verses are - umm - somewhat controversial. Some say they teach the subordination of women to me. Others point out that Paul says explicitly that what follows is his practice - it does not say that it was ordered by God. Even if it was, then the question comes up is it valid for that culture in that time and place or for all cultures in all places>
