Most Christians would most likely isolate themselves to pray to God. I used to be the one who would do this, and I used to feel that swearing was really bad, so I would get mad whenever someone in general swears. Them, my parents would think that I am weird. Not all Christians act like this in a strict manner, some act different than others. Who knows?

Some Christians flog themselves until they bleed to show sacrifice to Jesus as he did when he was on the cross.

No such thing as 'strict' Christian. Either you are a genuine Christian; or you are a psuedo Christian, which is really not a Christian.

No such thing as a lax Christian. Either someone is a Christian and lives by the requirements; or he is not really a Christian.

What are modern Christians?

Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross for their sins, and they accept him as their savior. Also they are called upon to love everyone, and to do good for others. That is the base for Christians. Christians also have their own rules according to how they dress, what they watch, and what they take part in. Some are outrageous, some make sense. Christian rules can go from very strict, to not strict in the least bit. It all depends on the person, and how uptight they are.

Why are Christians not strict?

A:Some believe that to be a strict Christian is to attend church regularly and to pray steadfastly. Others believe that to be a strict Christian is to judge others, interfere in their lives and preach the gospel to them. Still others believe that to be a strict Christian is to love others as themselves, and to forgive - turning the other cheek. Some Christians do indeed attend church regularly and probably do pray. These can include people who are both good people and some who are sinners or criminals - the mafia bosses are well known as church-goers. So many Christians do not measure themselves as good Christians by their church attendance or otherwise. There is a certain inconsistency between, on the one hand, judging others and seeking to impose one's interpretation of Christian ethics, and on the other hand, loving others and forgiving them if they do not always follow one's idea of proper Christian conduct. Many Christians realise that a good Christian is one who follows the teachings of love and forgiveness, learning not to judge lest they be judged. But, while many Christians realise that the fundamental concept of Christianity is to love and forgive, they find these intolerably difficult principles, not the least because they do not really understand the concepts. In my view, it comes down to whether most Christians want to be good Christians or simply want to be known as strict Christians. For all their faults and shortcomings, I think that most Christians would try to be good Christians, loving others even when they follow different values or fall short of their Christian principles, and forgiving those who fail to live up to an ideal.
