Gurudwara is a Sikh place of worship. On daily basis, scripture is read,hymns are sung, at times there can be contemplation/reflections on the certain passages from the scripture.
Some Gurudwaras have a small school built in, where children can learn about the Sikh Gurus and their lives, learn to read and write Punjabi in Gurmukhi Script and other outdoor activities.
There is a library in the Gurdwara because, you see the young Sikh children have to learn about their religion, they have to learn how to talk in their language, how to read and how to write in their language-they learn all this in the gurdwara! That's why books are needed!
