Muslims pray on a rug made especially for that purpose. but it's not obligatory to pray on a rug you can also pray on the floor or even on concrete out on the street. you can almost pray anywhere with the exception of a few places like the restroom or in the graveyard ( the only prayer allowed in the graveyard is salat-al-janazah which is a prayer offered when someone dies before burying them )

Muslims pray 5 obligatory prayers: Fajr (dawn), Dohr (noon), Asr (afternoon), Magrib (sunset), and Ishaa (night). Dohr on Fridays is replaced with Jumaa prayer, which consists of a sermon and a prayer.

Other prayers include Eid prayer, funeral prayers, etc.
