Jews wear the same clothes as the citizens of the country they live in. The men also wear Tzitzit (garment with fringes) and a Kippa and the married women often keep their heads covered with a sheitel (wig) or tichel (head-scarf) and ensure their clothes are not immodest. Also, Jews may not have shaatnez in their clothes. (Shatnez isa mix of wool and linen and is prohibited in Leviticus 19:19.)
Modern Jews in Israel and around the world will dress just like anyone else. In Israel, the style is more European than American (more provocative, I think).
Religious Jewish women will wear dresses that cover at least their knees, sleeves to at least their elbows, and necks at least past the collar-bone. When they are married, they will cover their hair.
How much they cover up depends on the community they belong to, what is right for the people they live near and the rabbi they follow.
Some women will simply wear a scarf. More religious women may shave their hair off after the wedding and wear a wig.
Religious men will wear slacks, button-down shirts over an undershirt, and a jacket when going out or praying. They will wear a kippa/skullcap. Some wear knitted kippas of different colors, others wear only black, sewn kippas. It depends on the community/rabbi. The more religious wear a square fabric under the shirt, with prayer fringes that hang out on the sides in the front and back. And the Haredi will wear white shirts with black suits, and a hat (over the kippa) according to their heritage/community/rabbi.
There are no laws in Israel for dress codes, but in the most religious neighborhoods, the people may put up signs asking visitors to dress modestly, to respect their community.
If you are visiting a religious home and choose not to wear anything on your head, it is considered indecent to "play" with it - to pull it in and out of a band or put it up in front of others. It is also wrong to take off your shoes in a religious home, unless you are there for a week of mourning.
