The Moirai (Fata in Latin) were:
Clotho (Nona): She spun the thread of life. In Rome, it was believed that invoking her name during the final month of pregnancy would help speed up labor. She is traditionally depicted as a very young woman carrying a spindle.
Lachesis (Decima): She measured the length of the thread of life. In Latin her name means "tenth" because it she was responsible for a persons destiny from the tenth month of their existence (after 9 months of pregnancy) onward. She is most often depicted as a middle-aged woman carrying a measuring rod.
Atropos (Morta): She cut the thread of life, ending a person's existence. Her name in Latin means "death". She was usually shown as an old woman carrying cutting shears.
There was Clotho who spun the thread of life from her distaff onto her spindle, Lachesis who measured the thread of life with her rod, and Athropos who was the cutter of the thread of life and chose the manner of a person's death.
The Fates, or the Moirae basically had control of people's destinies. Their individual jobs were:Klotho- spun the thread of lifeLakhesis- measured thread of lifeAtropos- cut thread of life

Clotho spun the thread, Lachesis measured it, and Atropos cut it.
Are the three Fates they're small goddesses, but they do have a big impact. I don't remember their names. In Greek mythology the three Fates are Klotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. In Roman mythology the three Fates are Decima, Nona, and Morta.
They weren't goddesses but they were known as the Fates. Their names were Clotho, the Spinner, who spun the thread of life; Lachesis, the Disposer of Lots, who assigned to each man his destiny; Atropos, she who could not be turned, who carried "the abhorred shears" and but the thread at death.Source: Hamilton, Edith, and Steele Savage.
