Yolanda King, Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott King, and Bernice King if your talking about martin Luther king jr
Martin Luther was a German monk in the Catholic Church. He became disgruntled with the practices of the church, specifically the selling of indulgences (pardons for sin for money) and started the Protestant Movement and formed the Lutheran Church.
The Catholic Church was highly corrupt prior to Martin Luther denouncing their activities. They would sell pardons for the dead in Heaven and gather up huge sums of money unethically.
The amount of power they had and the ways in which they abused it. (Talking about the Martin Luther from several centuries ago, right?)
It would seem the Martin Luther attacked papal pardons from a position of ignorance as careful reading, say of his 95 Theses, seems to indicate the Martin Luther, himself, did not understand what indulgences actually are, and his followers certainly did not. Martin Luther, despite his supposed position as a teacher of theology never evidences a real understanding of Catholic Theology, but, instead, manifests a vast ignorance of Catholic theology. His arguments are only sad, and the fact that people followed him out of the Church on the strength of his arguments is even sadder.
JR stands for junior. M.L.K. stands for Marten Luther King.
When Martin Luther King, Jr. refers to the architects of your republic, he is talking about the founder fathers of the United States. King was an African-American civil rights activist.
they are talking about Martin Luther, the protestant from the 16th century, not Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this doesn't go under african-american history.
Well, Martin Luther found Protestantism but he never wanted to separate from the Catholic church just change their ways, But yes he did leave the Catholic Church.
Answer 1: "Lex."Get it? "Lex Luther." (It was a joke.)Actually, Martin Luther's dog was named "Tölpel," as we know from his many mentions of it in his Table Talks, and also several letters to his wife.
Martin Luther was against the selling of indulgences. At that time John Tetzel was sent by the Pope to Germany to raise money for the renovation of St. Peter's Basilica. In order to raise this money they sold pardons for ones sins. That is why he wrote 95 theses.
