Also, there is something that is called, "non-demoninational." This is neither protestant or non-protestant, and does not fall within any of the above categories.
If you are looking to join a church but you do not know which one, I will not try to pursuade you to join my favored denomination. But I will encourage you if you have not joined a church to join one. Do some research on your own, talk to some friends, or even try just visiting different churches in you community. Christianity is open to anyone who wants it.
