No. Peter denied Christ three times. John was the only disciple who stood by Jesus throughout his trial and crucifixion. The others all deserted him. We are told that John was at the foot of the cross at jesus' crucifixion, and took Jesus' mother Mary into his own home.

The bible does not tell us a thing about Simon except his name. For certain he was not Simon Peter.

Peter did not go to the tomb. In the "Long Ending" to Mark, the women told the disciples that Jesus had risen, but they did not believe. None of the disciples went to the tomb.
