The Bible speaks of angels that sinned in 2 Peter 4 "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" and Jude 6 "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting darkness unto the judgment of the great day." These two verses are the only direct Scripture references to the fall of angels. Revelation 12:9 seems to refer to their later defeat: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth. and his angels were cast out with him."
