There are very very many religions that developed in
different parts of the world at the same times, so a
clear timeline that is "simple" is likely impossible.
but, in simple terms... the mainstreams ?
earliest ?
the burial icons from china 8,500 years ago
placed in graves. some of the symbols have been
interprited to the satisfaction of the researchers
involved since some of those 8,500 year old
symbols were found to be still in use as text
as late as 2,000 BC. a few translations of the
text symbols referred to the "eyes as windows"
egyptian text go back to approx 5,500 BC.
they had many religions and gods. but they
kept superb records ! and the absense of major
military conflicts in the central parts of Egypt
kept intact their many library records rooms.
there are approximately 25,000 recovered
text of the egyptian bible "the book of the dead"
then the sumariens, 4,500 -to- 2,000 BC
and their gods / religions...
Then the babylonians
The Mesopotamians
The egyptians spanned a pretty huge chunk of calendar.
then the early mosaic religions about 1000 / 800 BC.
which became judaeism.
then the early christianities.
but during these times in the Middle East, in
early North America, in asia, religions were also
mutating, evolving, and new ones springing up
just like everywhere else.
basically, every isolated area of the worlds major
5 / 7 areas had their own oldest religtion, and timeline.
we have religions now with millions of members which were
invented in the last few hundred years...
Catholic-Jewish-Christianity. Following was Muslims and Islams (there is a difference).
the oldest is the end part and the newest is the close part
No it isn't! It's the NEWEST!
From one perspective Islam is the oldest religion and from another perspective Islam is the newest religion.Explanation:Actually Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world. Now among Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, Judaism is the oldest, then there's Christianity, then Islam. The great prophet Abraham was the patriarch of these three religions. But again, it shouldn't matter how old the religion is, because if that was the case, then Hinduism would be the right religion (I'm not trying to offend anyone, if you're a Hindu, then that's fine with me.) So, Islam is the newest religion among Judaism, Christianity, and Islam; so does that mean that Islam is wrong, I don't know, you decide. It really doesn't matter to me what religion you are, I'm not God, and I can't judge you, only He can. We all have to live in this world, so stopping judging people because of their religion, and that goes for everyone, not just Muslims, Jews, and Christians, but everyone. I hope this was a good answer!
