Most Jews don't have anything personal against Jesus. The difference is that Jews believe that Jesus was just a regular person and not anything special in terms of religion. Jews are still waiting for the messiah whereas those who supported Jesus believed him the be the promised messiah.

Did Jesus dislike the Romans?

At the time, many Jewish people did not like the Romans who were ruling over them politically, militarily, and economically. This is primarily because of the taxes collected from the people and sometimes invasive control of the people. There was probably a select number of Jewish people who had positive connections with the Romans.

What religion did Jesus?

When Jesus the Christ was born on the earth to Mary in Bethlehem He was born a Jew from the tribe of Judah. Jesus followed the Law of Moses that was given to the Israeli people by God. Judaism was the Jew's true religion. Judaism and Christianity are closely related and it was Jesus Christ who was the founder of Christianity. He and the Father God in heaven gave this "New Covenant" to the Jewish people, and it became effective when Jesus died on the cross of Calvary and was resurrected the third day after. Sadly the Jewish people rejected Jesus the Christ as their Messiah, and so the Gentiles were offered the New Covenant. Prophecy tells us that after the Great Tribulation, which is still future, the Jewish people will accept Jesus as Savior and will also be included in the New Covenant.

What Jewish belief helped facilitate acceptance of Jesus?

A:Christians believe that the first-century Jewish expectation of a Messiah should have facilitated their acceptance of Jesus. However, they were expecting a great military leader who would help them defeat the Romans, and Jesus did not meet that expectation. There is no evidence that the Jews saw him as a Messiah. Christians believe that the Jewish belief that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem should have facilitated their acceptance of Jesus. However, the tradition that Jesus was born in Bethlehem seems to have been unknown until the last quarter of the first century, by which time a permanent schism had begun to open between the Jews and Christians.Christianity arose in the Jewish milieu but, in spite of Acts of the Apostles, seems to have achieved little in terms of acceptance by Palestinian Jews.
