If you consider giving to the needy as tithing, then it's not charity anymore. I don't tithe anymore. I give to charities that research on children's diseases and how to prevent them.

The Church doesn't believe in gambling. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes that a person should pay tithing on all their increase.
