Ezekiel had an inspired dream (vision) of the resurrection in what is called today, chapter 37.
"The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones... He said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest... Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: and I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord." (Ezek.37:1-6)
"...Son of man, these bones are the whole House of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost... therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves, and shall put My Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: and ye shall know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord." (verses 11-14)
The Old Testament never actually mentions the resurrection.
Answer 2
The resurrection of the dead in general is mentioned in Isaiah 26:19. See also Ezekiel 37.
The Old Testament never actually mentions Jesus Christ, so there is not possible for it to have unambiguously mentioned the resurrection.
JESUS was the messiah that was promised in the old testament. He was the fulfillment of old testament prophecy.
Daniel in the Old Testament and Revelation in the New Testament.
Poerty prophecy history
I assume you are talking about prophecies further explained or fulfilled in the New Testament that were either directly mentioned or alluded to in the Old Testament. I do not think there is any prophecy, indeed subject, in the New Testament that is not mentioned or at least touched on in the Old. The only possible exception could be that of the Church in the New Testament, and even that is a moot point.
The bible doesn't have a story in it its more so that their are chapters in it with life lessons you should know. Also these chapters tell of Jesus with his birth all the way to his death and his resurrection that's in the New testament but it was told by his disciples. The old testament tells of law, history, poetry, and prophecy, the old testament was written before the birth of Christ
The prophecy of Obadiah (the book is 21 verses).
The Old Testament tells the history of the nation Israel and God's dealings with them to about 400 B.C. Christians see its complement in the New Testament, which reveals Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.
The easter story is in the new testament. the old testament talks about passover.
To fulfill prophecy as is stated in the Old Testament
In order to understand what is in the New Testament you need to know what happened in the Old Testament. GOD created everything in the beginning (which was the Old Testament--Genesis). The New Testament covers the Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection of our Lord. His death due to the sinners which came out of the Old Testament.
The Old Testament is centered around the Law and is full of promises. The New Testament, with the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus, is the fulfillment of those promises.
The Old Testament scriptures came first, then Jesus, and then the New Testament scriptures were written after his death and resurrection.
