The only age at which a Catholic could be excused from attending Mass would not be a chronological age exactly, but perhaps when one is too old or sick to be able to attend Mass and there is no help available. Otherwise, I should think death would be the only acceptable measure!

In my opinion, if you consider yourself Christian, that already means that you should be regularly attending service or mass, especially if you are at a young age like twelve. The younger you start to familiarize yourself with your belief, the more you learn from and about it, and the closer you become to it.
