Not particularly. It's not listed in the rather thorough Etymologisches Lexikon der juedischen Familiennamen of Eva and Heinrich Guggenheimer. According to A Dictionary of Surnames of Hanks and Hodges. it is an Anglicized form of some Scots and Irish names. Woody Guthrie was from a Protestant family.
