To tell others about the Lord and to listen to the Lord's command.
Not in the common sense of the term. In the common sense of the term, a missionary is one who goes out from the church (within the Christian context) to do God's work (evangelism, churchplanting, discipleship and other forms of Christian ministry) to those outside the church (often, but not always, cross-culturally). Since Moses was not a Christian (since Moses lived many centuries before Jesus Christ) and wasn't really seeking to share his faith to those outside of his faith, he would not be thought of as a missionary. Of course the term missionary (etymologically) means one who is carrying out the mission of God. Since Moses was carrying out God's mission of bringing God's word to the Israelites, one could argue that he was a pre-Christian model of a missionary.
The main way the Christian missionary operates is in dependence on God. It is like any ministry, where He is using us as His tools to accomplish His Will. There are different ways that missionaries can be sent out- many are actually natives that are supported by the Church to go out and reach their own people. Other organizations focus on cities, sending people in to reach the people they work with, etc. Others have a more tribal focus, sending in missionaries to tribes that never would have otherwise had the opportunity to hear the Word of God.
Yes. Their lead singer is a Christian missionary and from what I know the main reason for the band's existence is to spread their faith. I'm not sure if they would consider themselves a "Christian" band when it comes to how they market themselves.
I was asked to be a missionary. I nedd some detailed information on this calling. then I would like to know what are the requirements of a missionary and the life of a missionary?
A missionary in any context would be a person who goes around spreading an organised religion by preaching. In the context of Spanish history, the missionaries were Catholic Christian priests who were sent to the Spanish colonies in the Americas to convert the indigenous pagans to Catholicism.
Ministry, as in a government office = misrad (משרד). As for the Christian meaning of the word, there is no Hebrew equivalent. You would have to describe it with words such as Irgun (אירגון) "organization", or Khevra (חברה) "company".
While this depends somewhat on how one defines the term missionary, the first Christian that appeared to take on the missionary role was Philip the Evangelist. He was first mentioned in Acts 6:5 in the Bible. However, his missionary travels are described in Acts 8:5-40. He served in the first decades of the church in the 1st century AD.
YWAM (youth with a mission) is active in Australia...
If you are asking how to be legally recognized as a Christian minister or preacher, that would depend on the religious group you belong to and the laws in the state or country where you live.
Someone that is looking to purchase Christian Christmas Programs online can do so at websites such as Ministry to Children, Samaritan's Purse. Another option would be to browse online at eBay or Amazon.
I really wanted to see all of Undertaker's men come back and reunite as the ministry of darkness. I highly doubt it though. First of all, Undertaker is face and i dont know how they will make the ministry a ''good guys'' team. Second, a lot of his men either are fired or have completely new gimmicks. It will be hard and will take a while to make the ministry out of new superstars. The only remaining ministry members are Edge & Christian, possibly Big Daddy V and the A.P.A. It would really be nice though to see the ministry get together one last time. I wish it would happen but it ain't going to!
