Gen:6:2: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. The sons of God were the followers of God that were descended from Seth, who before this did not mingle with the descendants of Cain, who were idol worshipers. God was never married. ---- == God was definitely married, not just to one but to many. If God was not married, then all His sons will be all bastards. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. ... There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them. -- Genesis 6:2-4 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. -- Job 2:1 Perhaps there is confusion here between the 'gods' and God. The former are many and are the creations of man and so possess human attributes and desires and so do get married in some of the legends or stories where they are mentioned. On the other hand the latter is the one true God of the Bible who, never got married, nor needed to, since He is complete in Himself and needs no-one. Taking verses out of context and altering their meaning is simply falsifying what the Bible says. In context 'sons of God' are not God Himself, nor are they progeny of some divine union. === ===
