Surah Al Anfal is a Madani surah. It has 75 ayaat. Al-Anfal means ‘Spoils of War’ and it was revealed concerning the Battle of Badr.
Muslims can always count on Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala’s Help when they fight for the right cause. He sent 1000 angels to help the small Muslim army with Jibreel ‘alayhi salaam and Mikail ‘alayhi salaam as the commanders of the warrior angels. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala helped the Muslims win the Battle of Badr.
Seeking forgiveness from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has many advantages. One such advantage is that His punishment will never reach a community where its inhabitants are engaged in Istighfar.
Surah al-Anfal goes into detail about the distribution of war booty. Prior to the revelation from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala about the method of distribution, the soldiers usually divided the booty among themselves. With the advent of the new Muslim community, new rules were enforced. One-fifth of the war booty was given to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and His Messenger salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and the rest to his near relatives, the orphans, the needy and the stranded traveler. It was ordained by Almighty Allah. The near relative of Prophet Muhammad salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was the Banu Hashim and the Banu Mutallib, both were ineligible for zakah.
Ayah 43 is a beautiful ayah. Here Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala shows us a glimpse of His love for Prophet salAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam and the believers. At the time of the battle of Badr, there was a handful of Muslims in Madina. When the battle of Badr was imminent, the Muslims felt afraid due to their small numbers. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala showed a dream to Prophet Muhammad salAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam that the number of the enemy as very few. It strengthened the believers and gave them courage and patience. “...Indeed Allah is with the patient.” (8:46)
The number of hypocrites residing in Madina was rising. At every turn, they were trying to incite trouble within the Muslim community. They wanted the Muslims to be defeated in all battles against the disbelievers, and desperately tried to avert others from joining the Muslim army. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala rebuked and exposed these two-faced people. Since hypocrisy resides in the hearts, only the Creator would know the truth. In ayah 67 of surah at-Tawbah Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala states: “The hypocrite men and women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is wrong and forbid what is right and close their hands...(refuse to spend in the way of Allah).” Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala contrasted the attributes of a believer in ayah 71 of this surah: “The believing men and women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and establish prayer and give zakah and they obey Allah and His Messenger...” Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala’s anger towards this heinous group included the commandment to His Messenger salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam that he could not even pray janaza salah for a dead hypocrite.

I have the same issue with my 5 week old baby. He is fine all day and as soon as maghrib starts, he cries quite badly. I do the athan which quietens him down a little. I also read various ayats/verses into some water eg Surah Al Fatiha, last 10 ayats of Surah Baqarah, Ayat ul Kursi and the 3 Quls. I then spray this water on four corners of rooms. Alhamdulillah this makes him quiet!
Chapter 16 in Quran; Surah AlNahl النحل Sura 4 Al Nasi' contains the name of Allah twice in both the first and last ayats, although the vowels of some are changed for grammattical purposes.
