"Tooting" your Own Horn meaning For many generations, here in the US the term, to "Toot [or blow] your own horn," means to brag, or do or say something to draw attention to ones self; "show off, act out, etc."
An easy way to find any horn relay is to locate the horn or horns and disconnect them. Then hit your horn button on your steering wheel multiple times. You will be able to hear a clicking noise. You may need an assistant to isolate the exact location. Cars were made rather simlple back then (Oh how I long for the good old days of simplicity) there will be few relays. BTW The horn relay will sound similar to your blinker sound. You did not say why you wanted to know where your horn relay is. If your horn has stopped working and you have one horn, considering its age its adjustment may have froze oen or closed. Have an assistant press on the horn blow switch. Get a small hammer an tap your horn or horns. Inside the horn is somethng like a relay. It pulses many times per second to create the horn vibration. When you tap on the horn it might make an attempt to blow. If it does look for a screw with what appears as a lock nut on it. If you have 12 volts going to the horn and you get some results with the hammer test you can get the factory origonal horn working by loosening the set screw and moving it in and out until your horn blows the loudest. When it is loud tighten the lock nut and enjoy your Mustang. An easy way to find any horn relay is to locate the horn or horns and disconnect them.
