For seva, a Sikh could help out in their local Gurdwaraby washing up dishes in langar or cooking food for langar. They could also simply give food to a Gurdwara to help.
There is a library in the Gurdwara because, you see the young Sikh children have to learn about their religion, they have to learn how to talk in their language, how to read and how to write in their language-they learn all this in the gurdwara! That's why books are needed!
As the gurdwara has a free meal service, you can take guests there to show them your religon.
Sikh seva is when you help someone and do there woks such as old people who are disabled. Also like in the gurdwara people take other people's plates seva means helping other peoplethank youi hope you have leard somthing today bye!
Traditionally, Indian Sikhs and Hindu have been in conflict with one another.
It wouldn't really affect being a policeman, because the only problem would have been wearing a turban, but now Sikhs are allowed to wear a turban without wearing helmets. ---- A Sikh in the police force may encounter race/religion based hostility from various quarters. ___________________________________________________________________ A Sikh police officer could also help bring about understanding and tolerance in the community, as well as dealing with Sikh victims and perpetrators through their experience and knowledge of the Sikh culture and beliefs

A Langar Hall is an open hall positioned with all Sikh Gurdwara's where Langar (free vegetarian food) is served. The Sikhs have to sit on the carpeted floor in straight lines which is called "pentaa" as a sign that everyone is equal before God and that no one has a higher or lower status in Waheguru's domain.
Sewa means service in a gurdwara, like helping give out meals and things like that, it is giving to people out of generosityIt is done for goodwill and benefit of others. The concept of sewa though is more than all of these things. It is the very essence of Sikhism.
