Here is the scripture verse you are referring to - Genesis 3.15
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
The seed of the woman refers to Jesus Christ and his church, and the seed of the serpent is the devil and his people, and as Jesus and his church overcomes completely the devil and all evil by his resurrection and eternal life, so the devil may kill and hurt Jesus and his church (ie-bruising his heel):
"...that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me". (John 13.18)
"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." (Revelation 2.10)
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."In this verse the words " her Seed " refer to the birth of Christ, born of a woman.Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
Prophecy is interspersed throughout the Bible... and not all in one place. One fairly obvious instance is first found in Genesis."...I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Gen.3:15)"...I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of Peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly..." (Rom.16:20).
That though the Serpent (Belial or Satan) would bruise His heel (that part or aspect closest to the earth as the earth is His footstool), this SEED (a single male child) would bruise the serpents head (plan and place of authority)
Genesis 3:15 This is where God says that the serpent (aka Satan) would be crushed by the heel of him who would be the serpent's enemy (Jesus the Messiah).
A:Read literally, there is no prophecy of Jesus in the Book of Genesis. However, Burton L Mack (Who Wrote the New Testament) describes a trick wherein one can ask any question of the Bible and get some kind of answer, then if the first answer does not appear to be helpful, one looks for another answer to the same question, until the right answer appears. With a little ingenuity, one can set up the comparison again with other emphases and make the answer come out right. In this way, it really is possible to point to prophecies of Jesus in the Book of Genesis, for example in Genesis 3:15. Genesis 3:15: "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. " Here, God was talking of punishment for the first transgression, but Mack's technique allows us to see it as an obscure reference to Jesus if we want to.Answer:The first to note His coming is noted above as Genesis 3:15. The word translated 'seed' here does indeed carry the promise of a child - just like it does in many other religious writings, philosophical and mythological works. It is a well accepted fact of this term. In this verse it is exceedingly important yet the term may also be translated 'offspring' as it is in Genesis 15:3 or 'descendants' as in Genesis 15:5, 13, and 18). It may refer to an individual as in Galatian 3:16 or a group of people.Throughout the Scripture, the phrase 'your seed' is used in Messianic terms (see Numbers 24:7). Most all biblical scholars state that the Genesis 3:15 statement from God to the serpent as Satan, sometimes called the 'first gospel' referring to 'your head' as indirect as it may seem, promises a 'Coming One' known to Christianity as Jesus Christ.
The woman was Eve.
Have a look at Genesis 17:8, Genesis 26:3-4, Genesis 29:13-15, and Genesis 35:11-12, and then we'll talk.

Genesis 3:15 is the first prediction (the seed of the woman who will bruise the serpents head) Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, the prince of peace."
**These chapters of Genesis explain where sin came from: (Genesis 1:26-29; 2:15, 16,17)(Genesis 3:1-5, 16+17) **These scriptures refer to and expand the accounts in Genesis: (John 8:44)(2Corinthians 11:3)(Romans 5:12+14/1John 1:8-10)(James 1:14, 15) (1Timothy 2:14)
One thought:Yes. The Bible tells us that when God created Adam and Eve, they were perfect 'living souls'(Genesis 2:7). If they remained faithful and obedient, they would have stayed that way forever (Genesis 2:15-17). Eve knew what was expected of her and what would happen if she disobeyed(Genesis 3:1-7). When Adam and Eve rebelled against their creator and disobeyed his direct command, they died (Genesis 3:17-19/Genesis 5:5), as God said they would (Job 34:15)(Ecclesiastes 3:20)(Psalm 146:3+4/Ecclesiastes 9:5+10)(Ezekiel 18:4)(Romans 6:23)(1 Corinthians 15:22).
