Our Blessed Lord set up the Church and His Sacraments as the way to distribute His grace to us in this life. Please note that God is not bound by His Sacraments, but we are. In other words, it is possible that God will distribute the grace of redemption to extraordinary holy souls not in His Church, but we must never depend upon that fact, for the simple reason that He has bound us to the sacraments.

Thus the overwhelming necessity of every Christian is to be a missionary to society: this is especially important in this day and age, when there are so many Protestants and atheists living in our society, and even the Catholics do not know their faith - we are responsible to bring Christ's faith to all of them! That is how we will be judged.

He distributes that grace through the priests in confession.

He already did it by dying on the cross and rising from the dead. All you have to do is accept that you need it and receive it.
