How do you get to heaven?

One can get to heaven only through complete faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. Simply trust and believe that He died for and paid the whole debt for all of your sins on the Cross of Calvary and you shall be saved and on your way to heaven. It is only a matter of faith -- who or what you trust in.

In Romans 10:13, The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of all and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. It is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God and confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Through faith, not good works, are you saved.

This answer is exactly right, you cannot get to heaven by works (good deeds). You can get to heaven by faith only.

Ephesians 2:8-9 for by grace you are saved though faith and not of yourself it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast.

For God sent his only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Ask God to forgive you of your sins. -for EVERYBODY on this earth has sinned.- and he WILL forgive you. Jesus Christ God's son came to earth and died for us. Than 3 days later he came back to life. Through His suffering we may live unto righteousness. all you have to do is ask God. not necessarily with your mouth either. pray silently if you want. God knows your thoughts. I hope to see you all in Heaven when the amazing day comes.

In order to truly be assured of salvation...

First, have faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, in order to please God and thus gain eternal life, you must have faith in God. Though, you must know the true God. To know the true God is to gain eternal life.

God is spirit. He is not man. He is All-Powerful, Almighty, forgiving, great, just, kind, loving, merciful, no-evil, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. God has no beginning and no end. He is therefore immortal. God is the Creator and Ruler of all. You may call God "All-Powerful", "God the Father", "LORD". You may also call Him "Almighty Father in Heaven" or just simply "God".

Second, accept and believe in Christ as the only mediator between God and men as well as our Savior. Another thing you need to know is that God and Jesus Christ are different. Christ is man with bones and flesh. He is the Lord and Savior. He is the son of God, was made to be without sin. No deceit was found in His mouth. Earlier mentioned, God cannot die. And since Christ died on the cross for us, He is therefore not God but the son of God.

Third, hear the gospel. The gospel of Christ is truth. Accept the truth, therefore. Believe the truth. Embrace it. Understand.

Fourth, join the true Church of Christ. To be a member of the flock is to be a true disciple of Christ.

Fifth, follow and obey the commandments of God and Jesus.

Sixth, pray for salvation. Ask God to lead you to the path of salvation.

For some Christians, faith in Jesus and forgiveness of sins is what it takes to get into heaven; this is what Paul taught. For some Christians, faith is not enough to get into heaven, and good works are also important; this view is found in the Epistle of James. For Muslims, it is important to follow Islam, although some say that formal conversion is not required.

Daoists say that perfect goodness and knowledge, earned over a period of many incarnations, are needed to enter heaven.

Others say that there is no heaven, so it is futile to hope to enter heaven.
