How do you explain the scientific miracles in Quran?

It is meant by the scientific miracles of Quran that Quran includes lots of scientific statements that was only proved by the current state of art of science and information. These statements are considered as scientific miracles because of their revelation in the seventh century while validated only with state-of-art of current knowledge, science and discoveries. This is considered as one of the proofs that the holy book Quran was not written by human or extracted from other books, as some may claim, and that Quran was a revelation from God to Prophet Mohamed.

As the Qur'an is a religious and theological tract, it does not concern itself with issues of science. However, in the past 40 years a campaign by some Muslim circles has propagated the claim that the Quran is perfectly compatible with science. For this they cite a French medical doctor Maurice Bucallie who (1) never became a Muslim and (2) had no formal scientific or theological training.

Evidently, the contradictory accounts of creation if taken literally and not as a creation myth; or the claim that a person is produced from a liquid emitting from between the backbone and the ribs (and not the testes) produce issues difficult to reconcile with science.

The rule of thumb:

1. For religious guidance as a Muslim - go to the Quran and the hadith

2. For scientific information, consult a science book.

Quran is the only holy book that included many scientific statements that are considered as scientific miracles because their authenticity and validity had been only proved by current advances in sciences and technologies although they mentioned in Quran from more than 14 centuries ago.

There are MANY verses in the Holy Quran that are evidences of the scientific miracles of Quran in astronomy.

The verse below is an example.

Quran says:

"هو الذي جعل الشمس ضياء و القمر نورا وقدره منازل لتعلموا عدد السنين و الحساب ما خلق الله ذلك الا بالحق يفصل الايات لقوم يعلمون"

" It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand. "

[Holy Quran, Chapter 10, verse 5, Surat Yunus (Jonah)]

What is miraculous in this verse is that Quran states the scientific fact that the sun is shining by itself ( A source of light which comes from the Arabic word ضياء ) while the moon is not shining by itself but by the reflected light on it (which comes from the Arabic word نور ). The word "ضياء" which is used for the sun & the word "نور" which is used for the moon assures that.

This is one of the scientific miracles of Quran. It shows that the sun light is originated from the sun itself but the moon light is not and comes from outside the moon. This scientific fact had been proved only recently while the Quran was revealed in the period from 610 AD through the year 632. These scientific miracle of Quran are strong proofs that Quran is real God words revealed to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by God through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) and not a human text authored by Muhammad or somebody else.
