The Greeks were fairly tolerant of other religions. It was a common practice to use ancient Greek religious concepts, deities, and myths to interpret or attempt to understand the mythology and religion of other cultures.
Herodotus was one of first to engage in this form of interpretation. In his observations regarding the Egyptians, he establishes Greco-Egyptian equivalents like Amon/Zeus, Osiris/Dionysus, and Ptah/Hephaestus.
what religions did the Greeks have
The Greeks didn't care what other countries thought about their religion and they felt calm and completely normal with it
No, but then all the major religions make the same claim for their god(s). The difference in other religions is that the Greeks had many gods, most modern religions have only one.
Greeks used mythology to explain the "unexplainable", such as: -Lightning (Zues) -Water (Posieden) -Death (Hades) etc. It was their way of explaining why we live and why things are the way they are. It is just like other people with religions. It is like Catholicism, Christianity, Buddhism, etc. in some ways.
