Asoka made Buddhism a part of the law.
Buddhism influenced Asoka's rule of the empire by him teaching everyone by making peace. Asoka had sent missionaries to spread Buddhism to China. He also sent teachers to Egypt, Greece, and North Africa. Asoka didn't want anyone to abuse animals so he stopped animal sacrifices. Asoka had stopped hunting which is a traditional sport of Indian kings. Asoka had hospitals built all over the city and wells dug every mile beside roads so travelers and their animals would not get thirsty.Asoka had everyone write morals for each other and passed a law that said for people to be treated humanely.

There is ONLY one kind of Buddhism in this universe. Since Asoka is an Indian he practised Buddhism with Indian culture. Asoka was a king and therefore had the power to spread Buddhism by building many places where Buddhists can performed the way of life.
