How can you go to heaven?

Christian view: The only way is to give your heart to Jesus Christ - to acknowledge your need for a saviour and to recognize that He is the One who will gain you access to Heaven. You must repent of your sins, turn from them, and imitate God - read your Bible and follow what it says, in order to show your love for Him. Find a pastor to talk to and a good church to attend. Being around other Christians, if they're truly born again, will help you stay strong and keep your relationship with Him genuine; it is good to get encouraged and to encourage others in the faith. Don't get discouraged, and be careful to avoid getting distracted from focusing on Him by the things in this life - for this life will pass away, but life with Him, eternal life in Heaven, will last forever.

Atheist view: You can't as it doesn't exist. Heaven is merely an idea to help people cope with the idea of death, and shield them from the reality of nothingness.

Other non-standard view: Be a good person. Do not make excuses for not doing good things. Make an effort to do good to others every day. Give of yourself. Show compassion. Attempt to live life to the fullest. Realize which of your personal ambitions will actually help the world as a whole, as opposed to provide limited gratification to yourself.

Another Standard View If you want to go God's heaven then you have to believe what that God says.

To become a Christian all you have to do is repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and He'll do the rest.

It very much depends on which spiritual beliefs you have. Most gods demand obedience to their rules. However the rules are different depending on the god.

Heaven is only for godly men. In order to go to heaven, one must follow and obey the commandments of God. One must persevere until the end in order to be saved and gain eternal life, thus.

In order to truly be assured of salvation...

First, have faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, in order to please God and thus gain eternal life, you must have faith in God. Though, you must know the true God. To know the true God is to gain eternal life.

God is spirit. He is not man. He is All-Powerful, Almighty, forgiving, great, just, kind, loving, merciful, no-evil, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. God has no beginning and no end. He is therefore immortal. God is the Creator and Ruler of all. You may call God "All-Powerful", "God the Father", "LORD". You may also call Him "Almighty Father in Heaven" or just simply "God".

God is love. His love for all of us is immeasurable. Commit a thousand sins and He will still be good to you. That is how great God is. He is understanding.

Second, accept and believe in Christ as the only mediator between God and men as well as our Savior. Another thing you need to know is that God and Jesus Christ are different. Christ is man with bones and flesh. He is the Lord and Savior. He is the son of God, was made to be without sin. No deceit was found in His mouth. Earlier mentioned, God cannot die. And since Christ died on the cross for us, He is therefore not God but the son of God.

Third, hear the gospel. The gospel of Christ is truth. Accept the truth, therefore. Believe the truth. Embrace it. Understand.

Fourth, join the true Church of Christ. To be a member of the flock is to be a true disciple of Christ.

Fifth, follow and obey the commandments of God and Jesus.

Sixth, pray for salvation. Ask God to lead you to the path of salvation.

There is only one way to go to heaven, that is to accept Our Blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as your personal Lord and Savior; to follow Him and all His commands in His Church; to be baptized, and to repent of all your sins; to receive Him regularly in Holy Communion, and to receive the sacrament of confession regularly. Then you must take up your cross daily and follow Him. To attain heaven is not something easy, it is simply, but hardly easy.
