How can a Christian show they are a steward of the earth?

well they shouldn't harm the earth because I wouldn't because Im a Christian myself.

The earth is God's gift to us so we should treat it with respect. But Christians shouldn't get too concerned about global warming, pollution etc because that is not what they are called to do. Besides God is going to create a new heaven and a new earth.

Rev 21:1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

Some try to help, some don't - in much the same proportion as their non-Christian peers. Some Christian organizations have started projects and used their organizational skills and resources to tackle some of the problems.

Some believe that they that ruining the environment does not matter because Jesus is coming back soon to put everything right. Others believe that it is their duty under God to take as good care of the environment as they possibly can, regardless of when Jesus comes back.

Christians follow the commandment "you shall not kill", Christians do not kill anything, therefore the environment would be sustainable.

All Christians are called to do what they can to leave this world a better place than they found it. This applies in every field of human activity:

• do not pollute but clean up pollution
• use the world's resources, but do not destroy them
• manage the world's Natural Resources in a way that enables all things to share in its wonders and abundance
• think clearly, and share our knowledge
• share our prosperity with others

It is easy to be selfish - but Christ has called us to a better way.
