Yes it does. Example: The main theme of the Sermon (Matt. 5:20 KJV) "except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." Here, Jesus calls the Christian to strive to attain God's standard of perfection. In the Beatitudes (Matt. 5:1-12), Jesus reveals a model for how Christians can conform to this standard. Jesus came to give the Law a deeper meaning that called for a change in the inner depths of the human heart. He used five illustrations (murder, adultery, swearing, revenge, and hatred of enemies) to explain this further. Attitude is also a behavior and Jesus describes the attitudes required of His disciples (Matt. 6:19-7:12), and invite His listeners to become and continue as His disciples (7:13-27).
The Sermon on the Mount in the Bible was addressed to Jesus' disciples and the crowds gathered to listen to him teach. It is a collection of Jesus' teachings on how to live a righteous life and be blessed by God.
What last sermon where
I dont know but i really need to know as well for my R.E homework due in soon!! :/
Jesus' life is a sermon because He is THE sermon. He is the way, the truth and the life. He is the EXAMPLE throughout the Bible. He wants us as believers to fallow his example. And to teach the sermon of his example, to fallow hard after Him, to seek Him. :)
