Well I'm sure he hears it. God wants a relationship with all his children, an all of us have been unrepentant sinners. He puts events and people into our lives to bring us to repentance. But He does hear us. And He does answer those prayers, though our small minds may not be able to anticipate or understand his answer. Even those who have walked with him for years may not understand until looking back after many years. God already knows that we've sinned and He already knows we will sin again. So obviously His love isn't dependent on our infallible walk through life. He loves us inspite of what we have and will do. And he spends our whole life working in us and through us to bring us to know him. So ultimately we have to make that decision to accept His love and commands and love him fully in return. And those who don't accept him, reject him. Repentance allows God to work in our lives. He stands ready to rock your world, but He won't just do it on His own agenda. He can, but in His love, He allows us to choose Him... But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. 2 Peter 3:8-12

God hears everyone's prayers and we are all sinners. He made us and loves us even if we turn away from him.

No. ANSWER: God has no reason to answer an unbelievers prayer UNLESS it is a prayer for salvation. After salvation God will answer your prayers. You do not have to be baptized to have your prayers answered. Your prayers are addressed to God in Jesus' name. If you do not belong to God through Jesus Christ God will not hear you.

Is prayer a worthwhile activity?

only if you think it is Prayer is only a worthwhile activity if there is actually someone there to hear a prayer. If I think prayer is worthwhile, but there is 'no-one at home' then my prayer is just the same as talking to myself and I am essentially wasting my time although it may make me feel better, it will do me no real good. Thankfully, God is a living God who can be known and communicated with and as a God who cannot lie, as humans can and do, He has promised to hear the prayers of His people, and He does. Of course prayer is not worthwhile if it is either 'vain repetition' - a religious formula with no real substance, or if the request is a sin - God has not promised to grant a sinful prayer, to grant something which is not according to his will. In these instances prayer certainly would not be worthwhile.
