∙ 14y agoHere is proof that in all religions and philosophy there is some truth. God gave man the 10 commandments to live by, which if every man obeyed would make a more peaceful existence for mankind. As Christians we understand that because the Law (10 C's) was given to condemn and not to save we understand why JC accepted the position of scapegoat for us who can not live without braking the commandments (even by thought) and accepting that His sacrifice freed us from the penalty of the law which is death and after His death and resurrection it was he who said that now one commandment encompasses all 10, the commandment of love, do unto others as you would have them do unto to you.

Some people may believe it is. It is not if the person saying does not believe it.
It reallly is upto the individual. If the individual believes and knows that what the others are saying is wrong then no, you shouldn't. When it comes to what you personally think whether something is right or wrong, it all comes down to yourself! People might want to believe someone merely because they make sense and its explanatory. Others may choose to believe because their society believes it- so why shouldn't you?
yes it does make sense to say "believe you me." It is an unspoken phrase which usually british people are associated with. It is a rearrangment of saying "you believe me."
