Yes , Mormons will help strangers but their families are suppose to come first. Mormons are taught they can be with their families forever in the next life. This can only be achieved by treating their families with love and respect while they are here on earth now. Often times people fall short of expectations while they are in family relationships. This happens too often and is something that needs to always be improved upon. It is not the doctrine but the person who falls short. Any Mormon who is abusive to family members can be brought before a Mormon court and excommunicated from the church if the infraction is serious enough.
Mormons do not believe that quantity of kids has anything to do with salvation. Mormons have more than the average amount of kids because they believe in family. Mormons believe salvation consists of receving all that God has. The idea of Mormons receiving their own planet is a bit of saracsm that is pushed by those who do not like the church.
They don't. That might be the opinion of a few Mormons, but not most Mormons. The Church itself has said nothing on the matter. Mormons are encouraged to form their own political opinions.
