It was Jewish and so was Jesus and all of his followers back then
Jesus Christ himself stated that it is no longer necessary to follow the old Jewish laws. This was after he died on the cross and rose again for the salvation of the world. His death on the cross changed everything.
Christ's blood shed on the cross.
usually as a sign of respect to Jesus Christ
Not...many? The Bhutan flag also has a dragon on it. But that's about as close as it gets for national flags. None, unless you mean St. Davids cross which is the true Welsh flag in which case England for one!... In case you don't know what the St. Davids cross looks like its all black with a yellow cross.
You do realize, that the Jewish God is the same God as the Christians. So the Jewish god is known for the creation of the universe and mankind. He is also known as the father of Jesus Christ. The difference between the Jewish religion and the Christian religion is that the Jews did not belive Christ was the mesiah; they belived that their savior has yet to come. And yes it is true that the Jews are the ones responsible for the death of Christ. Many people dislike the Jews for this history. A lack of forgivness. You see Jesus forgave them, despite the fact he was the one hanging on the cross. "Father forgive them for they know what they do" is all he said. The Jewish belief is actually very peaceful.
They recognize it as a symbol of Christianity, but it has no meaning in Judaism.
Christ of Saint John of the Cross was created in 1951.
No, there was never any such thing as a Jewish cross.
The cross by itself signifies that Jesus is not on the cross but has risen from the grave. Christ on the cross signifies his sacrifice. Today, Catholicism has Christ on the cross on crucifixes while protestants tend to not have Him on the cross.
When Jesus the Christ was born on the earth to Mary in Bethlehem He was born a Jew from the tribe of Judah. Jesus followed the Law of Moses that was given to the Israeli people by God. Judaism was the Jew's true religion. Judaism and Christianity are closely related and it was Jesus Christ who was the founder of Christianity. He and the Father God in heaven gave this "New Covenant" to the Jewish people, and it became effective when Jesus died on the cross of Calvary and was resurrected the third day after. Sadly the Jewish people rejected Jesus the Christ as their Messiah, and so the Gentiles were offered the New Covenant. Prophecy tells us that after the Great Tribulation, which is still future, the Jewish people will accept Jesus as Savior and will also be included in the New Covenant.
there's where Jesus Christ died on the cross. Jesus Christ saved us!!
