Though we don't know any ancient Natives, and so, can't talk to any directly, evidence suggests that they, like many early peoples, followed a sort of polytheistic Spiritism, where the gods were seen in many aspects of life including hunting, water and drought, and the animals.
Many contemporary native American tribes still practice this in a sense, however, most also have incorporated the teachings of Christianity into their lives. A common example would be praying to Jesus AND the Eagle God for a fruitful harvest.
