Judas was bribed by the Jewish religious heirarchy into betraying Jesus. The Jewish religious elite feared that his growing popularity and new teachings would undermine their authority and credibility with the public, and possibly lead to a widespread civil insurrection against the established order of government. The Kingdom of Judea was effectively a puppet state governed by a totalitarian monarchy and religious Council Of State, under the occupying Romans and held in check by the Roman Governor. Were anything to threaten the status quo, this could have lead to Rome abolishing this system and imposing direct rule- resulting in the Royal Judean House and the religious heirarchy falling from power. The Council of High Priests thus deemed it essential to undermine Christ's legitimacy and hand him over to their Roman overlords as a dangerous political subversive. Judas Iscariot was bribed by the Temple Council in Jerusalem to betray Jesus, who was promptly arrested by their own security personnel. Judas soon afterwards suffered extreme guilt and remorse, contemptuously returning the bribe money he had been paid and then committing suicide by hanging himself from a tree.
No. Judas betrayed Jesus to the religiousleaders.
Matthew 26:14-16
14Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
15And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
16And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
(King James Version)
He forgave him.
Peter was the disciple who cut off the ear of the Roman soldier when taking Jesus to Pilate. Jesus then miraculously healed the soldier's ear.

Judas
St. Longinus, the Roman soldier who said "Surely this man was the son of god" at the crucifixion.
He was the slave of a Roman soldier not much else is known about him. Does that help?
According to the Bible, a Roman soldier pierced Jesus' side with a spear while he was on the cross. This event is described in the Gospel of John, chapter 19, as occurring to ensure Jesus was dead before his body was removed from the cross.

Yes the Roman soldier also died one day.
The roman soldier put a spear in the side of Jesus and only water came and not blood, so they knew he died.
As Jesus fell several times on the way to Calvary as he was exhausted , it was then that the roman soldier told Simon to carry it.
