The Medrash is considered part of drash. The Medrash (quoted by Rav Shlomo Yitzchaki, known as Rashi) explains that he 'turned himself to the side of the Shechina'. Then Rashi quotes a Gemara that therefor we see that the Shechina is above the head of someone who is sick. That is Drash.
