Zechariah is the 38th book of The Bible and was written by the prophet Zechariah in Jerusalem in 518 B.C.E.
It picks up the history of the Israelites after they were released from Babylonian captivity. They are supposed to be rebuilding the temple of Solomon, but work has come to a stand still.

Zechariah was a Jewish prophet who lived during the time of the Babylonian exile. He prophesied about the eventual restoration of Jerusalem and the coming of a future king, whom Christians believe to be Jesus. Zechariah's visions often contained symbolic imagery and messages of hope for the people.
