Not when you consider that: "...whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." (James 2:10)
And not when you consider that each of the Ten Commandments carries with it the DEATH PENALTY for the breaking of it.
And yet... if one can, somehow, grasp the True import of the FIRST COMMANDMENT in one's heart and mind, regarding personal relationships; "Thou shalt have no other God's before Me" -- then one might begin to grasp how important this one is to the True Understanding of all the others.
Each law carries with it a deeply spiritual aspect of God's LOVE that life's experiences... and the Divinely-revealed Word of God... teaches those who are "touched" by them.
Over all,however... the world's general disregard for the Commandments; the general disregard for Love and Respect for one's fellow man has left us with the hate-filled world we live in (or maybe more correctly - temporarily exist in). This leaves man in the position of not really knowing what the world COULD be like if maybe just ONE of the Commandments could be kept by everyone.
Like, how important would it be if NO ONE IN THE WORLD MURDERED ANYONE? Just that one COMMANDMENT?
Or what if everyone in the world "had no gods before them" but the One who created the first two people? (hint: His name is Jesus Christ - see John 1:1-3). Just that one COMMANDMENT?
Or what if NO one in the world STOLE anything? Just that one COMMANDMENT?
How much of a difference would the keeping of any one of these Commandments... Or any one of the others... impact the world? Wouldn't the keeping of any one of them by everyone in the world vastly CHANGE, if not IMPROVE, LIFE ON EARTH?
The answer is different to many. Some think friends are more important, others think money is more important. It all depends on you!
some are more important because they have more meaning to life and they were created and first discovered before any of the other less important gods and goddesses
some rules are more important because they are more serious like murdering someone is more serious then telling a lie to your parents.
because some counties are more important than others
More important than others.
Some appeals will be more effective with certain audiences than others.
No, some do not. Others, however, do. They realise that the person is more important.
He believes some virtues are more important then others
He believes some virtues are more important then others
If some observation units are more important than others then you could give them more weight in any analysis.
Some organs are more important and necessary than others. You can't live without a heart or a liver but you can survive just fine with only one kidney.
Performing arts are important to some people and not to others no no no
