The answer is both yes and no. Jesus predicted correctly that His teachings would be divisive among men and even among believers. At the same time unity is something which Jesus taught and so it can be said that Jesus wants Christians to live in unity but He acknowledged that in this life we being sinners wouldn't. However, true Christian unity is certainly achievable where all are in submission to God and don't seek their own human way to unity which is often to ignore what God says and believe anything and everything.
New Testament perspective:The answer is an unqualified yes. True, Jesus indicated that His teachings would be divisive, but the division He spoke of was between believers and non-believers, not "amongst believers." Division amongst believers is absolutely contrary to Jesus' teachings.John 17:20, 21 - "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me." [NKJV]
These words point out the tragedy of divisions amongst "Christians"...they cause "the world" NOT to believe that the Father sent Him.
Not quite sure what you mean. Christianity is divided into several groups, often called "churches" or "denominations".
Orthodox, Conservative, and & Reformed.
There is probably no 'general' answer to the question. Each religion might answer this differently. For example: Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians, (while they do follow the traditions within the Bible that apply for Christians), they follow NO man-made 'traditions'. In other words, 'tradition' has NO role in their religion.
Islam is a religion it does not have religions within it. Islam is a complete code of life. It should be accepted as a whole. It may have certain SECTS as the Christians and Jews have among them.
Roman Catholicism. .................................... Christianity is the religion. Roman Catholicism is one church or major division within Christianity. The Protestant Church and Orthodox Church are other major divisions.
its not about religion....its about a relationship with God religion is a word non-believers use or christians that arent really christians. its a relationship.

Rainbow in religion, I think, represents the different sects and opinions within each religion - the Christians have: Catholic, Anglican, Protestant etc. The Muslims have Sunnis, Shia etc.
