I cannot say definitively as, with all antique and specialized items, it depends upon how much a collector is prepared to pay but I should think that one of the records made by Enrico Caruso in Milan in 1903 must be well at the top of the list. I collect old recordings, mostly 78rpm, and the last time I saw one in a catalogue it was priced at £600.

That's very true. It depends on the genre' of music and the genre' of the collectors. A big rule of thumb is a record is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it.
In the R&B world of 78's - "Stormy Weather" by The 5 Sharps is probably the most sought after. Only 3 are known to exist and can demand a price of $20,000.00
But - there are high end country records and classical records. Depends on your knowledge and your taste.
The most sought after gramophone record is believed to be the original pressing of The Beatles' "White Album," as it is valued for its rarity and historical significance. Additionally, records by artists like Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones are also highly sought after by collectors.
Record player.
One of the most common early names was "gramophone". By the 1930s the name had become "phonograph" in the U.S. but the U.K. usage tended to remain gramophone.
it was a Gramophone record player that is a smaller version of a record player
In 1888, Emile Berliner invented the lateral-cut disc records for the phonograph (gramophone). His record label was called "Berliner Gramophone."
a gramophone was used for communication ================ "Gramophone" is the name given in Britain to early phonographs. A gramophone is a record player. (The term is still used in the title of some organizations, publications, and prizes.) So, the answer to your question is that a gramophone uses a pointed piece of metal (a "needle"")produces sound (usually words or music) by converting the grooves on a disc (record) into vibrations that produce sound waves. In other words, gramophone is used to play records.
The gramophone used a large bell shaped device to amplify the sound. A record player amplifies sound electronically and sends it through a dynamic speaker.

I think it is stylus.
A gramaphone is a record player so it's a square with a cirle on it.
A gramophone needle is also commonly referred to as a stylus. It is the tiny point that comes into contact with the grooves on a vinyl record to produce sound.
In Europe we call it Gramophone or record player refer to "phonograph"
