Bystolic is a brand name for the medication nebivolol, which is a beta-blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that affect the heart and blood vessels, helping to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.

Can you take bystolic twice per day?

Technically, Bystolic is usually taken once a day for high blood pressure. Taking it twice a day may not provide any additional benefit and could increase the risk of side effects. But hey, if you want to double up on your heart meds, go ahead and live life on the edge. Just maybe run it by your doctor first, just in case they have some pesky medical advice to share.

How long does Bystolic stay in the system. I have developed a rash and trying to determine if this is a side effect of this drug?

Bystolic is a high blood pressure drug. Please tell me you're using it by prescription because blood pressure medicine can kill you if you're taking it when you don't need it. Anyway...back to the question. Rashes are one of the "SEVERE" side effects of Bystolic--a side effect that if you get it, the manufacturer wants you to stop taking the medicine and see your doctor right away. Specifically, it's an allergic reaction to the medication. I can't find anything about Bystolic's half-life, but it's probably about 24 hours. I can think of another reason to get off this drug: at $75 a month (if you order it from a Canadian pharmacy), the price is outrageous. This stuff is SO outrageously priced they give you a free bonus when you order it--four doses of Viagra. I guess they figure if you're getting s*****d by the drug company, you may as well enjoy it.

Mr. Baker, The symp?

Can you drink alcohol while taking Bystolic Generic Nebivolol?

I have drank alcohol moderately since I began taking bystolic and have experienced no increase in symptoms. However, it is probably better to limit your intake of alcohol while on the drug. When I have drank, it seems that after a few beers I have begun to feel somewhat tired and needed a nap. The symptoms may be different for everyone. I would say try a drink or 2 with the medicine and see how you react. After that, you will be able to gauge your reaction from there. Not Medical Advice: It recommended that you check with your physician before drinking alcohol while taking 5 mg of Bystolic (nebivolol). The drug by itself may cause vision changes, dizziness, drowsiness, or lightheadedness. These side effects may worsen if you consume alcohol while taking the drug.

It depends on the individual. Some people have an issue with Zyrtec causing tachycardia (very fast pulse), especially when they have other issues such as high blood pressure. If you are taking it and find this is a problem, you should consult your doctor.
