The Rockies are inland from the coast of British Columbia, Canada, and stretch down through Washington and Oregon into California. As they are not close enough to the coast to be reached easily by water, one would have to use some form of land transportation: cars, trucks, trains, for instance.
the rockies are located between the Rio grande in the south & the liard river in the north & of course they themselves shed dozens of rivers to their east & west perhaps most notably the Missouri & Columbia systems respectively
