Because in reality authority is an idea, there isn't any magical constraint on your life your here for a short time and then your gone forever. It wouldn't be to bad if your views aligned with whichever system of control you happen to appear in; but what if they don't. You wanna know what happens when they don't? People come in your house at night and either kill you or completely isolate you from your family and friends for however long they see fit.
Some people understand this so they decide to be in control of themselves. I don't blame them, because Im gonna do whatever I want with my body and my space and if someone tries to stop me then that would be the only reason I see fit to step outside my boundaries.
Inform yourself and think for yourself and of course resist authority.
thats my 2 cents
People may resist authority for various reasons such as feeling their autonomy is being threatened, disagreeing with the decisions made by those in authority, or feeling that their values or beliefs are not being respected. Resistance to authority can also stem from a desire to challenge the status quo and promote change or to assert independence and personal agency.
The characteristic of "hostility toward authority figures" is often expressed as anger toward authority figures in delinquent subcultures, as individuals in these subcultures resist and challenge the rules and norms set by authority figures.
Individuals who compromise their own ethics to obey authority in the Milgram Experiment can be held responsible for the treatment of another because they ultimately chose to follow orders that caused harm. Despite the pressure from authority figures, individuals have the free will to question and resist unethical commands. By choosing to prioritize authority over their own moral compass, they contribute to the mistreatment of others.
Narcissists may resent authority figures because they struggle with relinquishing control and desire to be in positions of power themselves. They may see authority figures as threats to their own dominance and superiority, leading to feelings of resentment and defiance. Additionally, narcissists may perceive authority as a challenge to their self-centered view of the world.
Ignoring the situation completely and pretending it doesn't exist is not an effective way to resist unspoken peer pressure. This can lead to feelings of isolation and may not address the issue at hand.
A hypothesis for Milgram's experiment could be: "Participants will show obedience to authority figures by continuing to administer increasingly severe electric shocks to a learner, as instructed, despite their personal beliefs and ethical concerns about causing harm."

There is no such thing. If one is being incited to resist, the authority is NOT lawful. Incitement to resist implies the unlawful act of stirring up anger with a reflexive physical response of violent energy that's intended to be unleashed against a person or group of persons having authority. Resisting arrest is one thing, then there's an incitement of resistance by the authority, which is UNLAWFUL.
