In the natural world, red has almost always represents danger. Although many creatures are 'colourblind' red is still recognised by most as a danger signal and leave it alsone. From this natural order, humans have used red as a danger sign for centuries. The red hand warning symbol through to red lights and stop signs all tell us of danger. There are some exceptions though; the bee, hummingbird and other pollen/nectar gatherers will be attracted to red flowers. Parrots and other berry eaters will be attracted to red berries. This part of the natural world has been emulated by humans to attract each other. Red lipstick, red dresses, red cars, red ties and so on.
