The rise of the United States as a superpower in the 1980s led to increased global influence and economic prosperity, contributing to the interconnected world we live in today. This influence has shaped international relations, trade agreements, and technological advancements that impact our daily lives. Additionally, policies and decisions made during this time continue to shape geopolitical dynamics that influence our world today.
A typical school day in the 1980s involved classes like English, Math, Science, and History along with subjects like Home Economics and Industrial Arts. Students often used textbooks and notebooks instead of laptops and tablets, and recess was a common break time for outdoor play. Dress codes were more formal than today, with students expected to wear specific attire like collared shirts and dress shoes.
That depends largely on the choices that you are making in your life. If you are making good choices, then you are becoming good. If you are making bad choices and not correcting them, you might be becoming bad. Our choices dictate our destinies. We can't control external events, but we can control how we react to them, what we focus on, and the priorities that we make in our lives. If we work on being the people that we want to be *today,* those choices will carry through to tomorrow, helping us to get closer to that eventual goal.

In today's world, it's a nation that possess's nuclear weapons (and has the capacity to use them-a delivery system). Prior to nukes, a super-power had battleships (and lot's of them). Large Armies were not indications of a superpower...any large body of men armed with sticks constituted an Army; and such an Army would not be construed to be a superpower...by any stretch of the imagination. But it takes money (and lot's of it), and technology to build a battleship (and lot's of them); more so than any other type of war machinery. Therefore, if a nation had the money & technology to build a fleet of battleships; they were a superpower. Today: If a nation has the money & technology to build a lot of atomic weapons AND the delivery systems that go with those weapons, they're a superpower.
