Try to understand why you are feeling the emotion. Try to think things through rationally.

Realise that only you can control how you react to a situaton, regardless of what is going on around you, it is you who chooses how to react.

Talk to people about your emotions. This doesn't mean you have to sit down and have a deep discussion, just practice adding little emotional words into your everyday sentences to express yourself. E.g. "that situaton made me feel happy" or "when that happened I was a bit disappointed." It can help things from bottling up.

Emotional maturity and stability is very attractive in both men and women.
