No, antibiotics are only used for many different infections that are caused by bacteria overtaking the infected part(s) of the body. The antibiotic will target the bacteria and either kill or disable it which then enables your body to heal. If you leave an infection going for long enough without antibiotics; the bacteria could reach your bloodstream and infect major organs causing sever pain and eventually death.

Viruses are not affected by antibiotics. The only defense against a virus is to receive a vaccination (a weak strain of the virus) for the particular strain enabling you body to create T-cells that stand guard and attack any real threat against your body.

Some viruses there are no vaccines for (i.e. the common cold) so its up to your body to do the work but you can take over the counter cold/flu meds to help degrade the symptoms.
